Waterville Valley Freestyle JO's 2010: Ski Free or Die!

Congratulations on qualifying for the 2010 Freestyle Junior Olympics! Waterville Valley Academy and BBTS Ski Club are looking forward to hosting all the talented juniors from around the country. This year, in reverence to the beautiful state of New Hampshire, we have modified the state slogan "Live Free or Die" and applied it to our Junior Nationals. Our state motto manages to define a state full of people who are resilient, defiant and refuse to be defined by what the rest of the country thinks. I like to think that the same principles apply to freestyle skiers throughout the world. Freestyle skiing isn't about being the same or doing the same things as everyone else on skis. It is a way of projecting your individuality and creativity. As hosts of the Junior Olympics, we want to encourage you to keep promoting those principles by training, competing and having fun with freestyle skiing!

To those ends, we have been working hard to make this year's experience rewarding and enjoyable for you, the athlete. Not only will we provide outstanding freestyle venues for you to train and compete on, but we have also organized several exciting social opportunities for you to gather with your peers and enjoy each other's company. We dedicate this Junior Olympics to all JO athletes and their families. Please join us for a week of fun, friends and freestyle!
